This is the real deal. If you're looking for a great hand break for PC racing that won't break the bank, is rugged and reliable, plug and play, and adjustable in countless ways, your search is over.I had to drill some new mounting holes in my racing stand, which I expected. I use this brake in combination with a Thrustmaster TMX and a GT Omega Pro steering wheel stand. After getting it mounted, I plugged it in and let Windows 10 so it's thing. Then I tossed on my Quest 2, and hopped into Dirt Rally. Went into the options menu, selected the brake in the list of controllers, and assigned it to my hand brake and that was all I needed to do.And that's basically all I've needed to do in any of the driving games I play. The brake is analogue, and although it feels like the spring is very stiff, once you get it mounted it's really not and has just the right resistance. They do provide an extra spring, as well as an extra foam cover for the hand grip. This is the real item, by the way. There are a LOT of cheaper knock-offs out there, but this is the real deal.I strongly recommend this break for anyone who of looking for a realistic, reliable and easy to use solution for PC driving simulations. The handbrake works as expected and is less expensive than many brand name alternatives but it's not perfect. One of the screws on the plastic came stripped. Not a big deal since it seems to stay in place fine. There are two design issues I found.First, the handbrake itself doesn't engage for the first third of the travel. The reason is that the handbrake uses a magnet to sense the position and the magnet doesn't reach the sensor until you have pulled it about a third of the way back. The handbrake can be adjusted so that the initial slack is taken out but what's the point of having that much travel if it doesn't do anything, especially since you can make adjustments for dead zone in games. The second issue is that the stop for the handbrake is that small screw on the end that impacts the thin plastic plate. When I drive Dirt Rally 2.0, the handbrake subs as a clutch and you just let go causing a hard impact. While I haven't had any issues yet, I expect that eventually the plastic plate on the end will break. The clamp could also be a bit better. The foam on the underside came lose a bit and caused some rubbing or pulled the finish off my desk. It's also just a metal disk on the bottom so it is likely leaving some marks though I haven't checked since it's on the bottom and I don't care.I was able to solve the issue with the foam pads by just putting wrapping a post-it note around the edge of my desk but it would be nice if the clamp used a more durable pad.Aside from that, it's a handbrake and works as expected and it's impressive that they can pack that much metal and plastic in plus the electronics for just the price. (I think I paid around $120)Even with the small issues, I would still recommend it over a $300 handbrake unless you just have money to blow. Just make sure you protect your desk and maybe add a rubber washer behind the adjustment screw to absorb some of the impact. It performs and does the job.I wished the usb wire was longer though, and the USB handle that wraps around the wiring is loose as well as the 2 bolts.I've never used a handbrake before. But I wish also that I can change the actuation point. Seems I have to pull quite a fair distance before registry and it's hard to judge during first use. let me know if this setting is possible to change.Lubed from factory, solid construction, plug and play, and included all accessories. All I needed to do was adjust the back screw to get rid of the deadzone.Overall it looks amazing and feels super strong and rigid. Worked as soon as I plugged it in on pc. Forza horizon 5 with G923 wheel and pedals. No issue binding the e brake to it. Only downside is the holes that are on the device don’t line up with holes that are on the mounting bracket. So I just bolted it straight to my desk instead of using the mounting bracket. Probably sturdier that way anyway.Plug and play and set up in game and you're good to go.Works great with Forza 5 love it. Feels great feel like some tough quality material. Little sus never ordered anything from Amazon this my first order. Love the transportation to getting to me. Packaged real good.I’m going to upload a video for this, but very easy to setup, just plug in and for whatever game you’re playing, have to config the handbrake in the game settings. Clamp is very nice, doesn’t shake my flimsy desk. JUST BUY IT ALREADY WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FORThere seems to be an issue with this hand brake. In the Windows controller properties, you'll see the hand brake is both an analog axis (what it should be) AND 2 buttons. When you press the handbrake around 40 percent, "button 1" activates, when you reach around 50 or 60 %, button 2 also activates while button 1 is still being pressed down. The problem with this is that games read the hand brake as a simple on/off button rather than an axis.2) Also, the hand brake claims to use a 64 bit controller but this hand brake doesn't even use a 12-bit controller. I used DXTweak2 to check the hand brake's inputs and it goes all the way to 1023 BUT in increments of around 10 at a time! Therefore this hand brake only has around 110 or 120 "steps" of total resolution & range. Most devices have thousands of steps. Having said that, it's not a huge deal for me because I don't need the handbrake to have a very high resolution, 110-120 steps is fine for a handbrake (wheel and pedals need higher though).3) The last 10 or 20% of physical travel does not register. In other words, when you reach around 80 or 90 % of total physical travel on the handbrake, it registers in Windows (or the game) as 100%. You cannot calibrate handbrake to use the last 10 or 20 % of travel.I do not care much about issues #2 and #3 but issue #1 has to get resolved! This handbrake should ONLY be reporting to Windows as an axis and that's it. Other than that, this hand brake is awesome. It's very quiet, fairly smooth, nice & lubed in all the right places, very sturdy and solid, lots of adjustability, the extra stiffer spring is awesome, the extra thicker handle is awesome. This sucks. When I go to calibrate it has two buttons. One engages about 10% in and releases 90% in and won’t let me change it, knowing this the game always registers at it being fully pulled SO MY EBREAK IS ALWAYS ENGAGED!!!! Supper frustrating.es buen freno de mano para iniciar, se puede ajustar la fuerza y solo necesitas conectarlo a la pc para empezar a utilizarlo, te mejora mucha la sensación o inmersión de juego, lo único malo que le veo es el precio, lo puedes conseguir mas barato por otras paginas aun que te tardaría mas en llegar y por la calidad pues el tiempo diráI’ve yet to set this up but it didn’t come with all the hardware and the bolts are cheap hardware store bolts vs true to the picture. I’ll update this after playing.it’s also missing one screw.Ne fonctionne pas toujours comme il le faudrait. :,(
